Hi, I’m Annelise!
I am the shortest person on staff, and some might think I’m quiet, but stick around and you’ll learn otherwise.
Sky View means the mixture of my favorite things – horses, kids, teaching and friends. A friend told me about Sky View, and since I was looking for something productive or ministry to do during my summer, I applied. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but working with the kids and the horses quickly became the highlight of my week. Working here at the ranch has taught me dependence on God, as I seek to have meaningful conversations with the people I meet here. I have continually learned the value of selflessness as I serve others and seek out the best ways to show them God’s love. Growing up, I always loved spending time with horses, so really getting to interact with the horses here has been a big blessing. Sky View has proven to be a very safe place to talk about life or just sit and process. Or sleep, which I do A LOT.
A little bit about me:
I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters, and my family has moved around quite a bit – I have lived in 7 different states and have visited 42 states. I’ve gone sky diving, and would do it again in a heartbeat. I am a lifeguard and I love water and swimming. I am also a barista at Dutch Bros and I love my jobs! I’m probably happiest outdoors, and I don’t let my allergies get the better of me. I love my motorcycle and if you see a streak of neon green, it’s probably me. I love to eat, and can often be seen toting around a bag of corn chips or applesauce – I’m gluten intolerant, but that doesn’t stop me from smelling all the glutenous food. I also love popcorn (*hint hint*). I love kids and babies and they love me. I like to work hard and get dirty, which is an essential part of ranch work. I enjoy team sports and I’m an ace server in volleyball. I love to sing and spend time worshiping my Lord and Savior, Jesus. My favorite times are spent in the wild, reading my Bible, praying, and listening for God’s voice.

Things I like are:
Swimming, dancing, water, quiet, laughter, outdoors and nature. I like my motorcycle. Horses, most cats. Dogs that are not too slobbery and babies. I like popcorn and applesauce.
